SNJÓFLÓD
A slow and delicate flow of pictures and drawings of Iceland. Like an avalanche, but in reverse: slow, delicate, and carefully crafted.
40 EUR
This book compiles photographs taken during a journey through Iceland. Iceland is fire, cold, ice, salty smell, purity, isolation, solitude, wool’s texture, and rock’s roughness.
As a journey through time, the photographs were taken with two 35mm analog cameras: Ilford Sportsman (1960s) and Olympus Trip 35 (1980s). The landscapes, where time seems to stop, evoke loneliness and hopelessness. Each photograph is accompanied by its GPS latitude (φ) and longitude (λ) coordinates to locate these places in the future.
